CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINE
Copper mould tubes are a crucial component of a billet caster, playing a vital role in the continuous casting process. These tubes facilitate the solidification of liquid metal within the continuous casting machine, ultimately producing steel billets. Positioned at the core of the continuous casting system, copper moulds require exceptional thermal conductivity and high strength. As the molten steel flows through the copper mold tube, it quickly takes shape into designated steel billets. The molten metal is initially tapped into a ladle from furnaces, and then transferred through a refractory shroud to a holding bath known as a tundish. From the tundish, the hot metal is drained via another shroud into the top of an open-base copper mould. Therefore, the quality of copper moulds, also referred to as JSM copper moulds, billet caster molds, Cu pipe moulds, caster tubular moulds, and crystallizer tube molds, is of paramount importance.
